Seren visits Grammie and Grampa April 2006,
We have had a week of fun and frollicing with our grandson. Seren is almost 2 and talking up a storm. We have to be careful what we say as he is a parrot and repeats what we say sometimes with hilarious effect. It only took us a few hours to learn his language and comunicate with him as he still has a very different way of pronouncing his words. Might be the mid west wisconsin nasal accent creeping in. Any way what a joy he is! We also had a wonderful visit with his parents too. This year they did not all arive here sick so we were able to have more fun. We went to the park at Port Townsend and played at the beach too. Went for lots of walks around Grammies property and got to know a few of grammies chickens. Michael got to learn how to clean up in the chicken yard and helped me move one of the chicken tractors. We also had a day of blessing as we had a group of guests in and an Elder from one of our local tribes came and performed a blessing here to dedicate our land to healing. The ceremony was wonderful and we had a feast later.
When it came time for Seren and his parents to return to Wisconsin we had a wonderful ride over to Seattle on the Ferry and really enjoyed the remainder of uor time together. They arrived safely home on Wednesday afternoon and called to tell us how their trip went.
The house is sooo very quiet all of a sudden. I miss them too much and the visit seemed way too short.
I have posted some photos below and will post some more in the coming days as I unwind all of the activities we did together. Enjoy.
